Director of Operations
It's all in the details for the Director of Operations. This person plans the logistical details for all LBSA events - from booking rooms to ordering food. Let's just say, the Director of Operations is the person in charge of making sure everything flows smoothly... plus he/she/they gets to choose what we eat every Wednesday.
Director of Marketing
Our very own social media guru. The Director of Marketing is in charge of promoting LBSA to current and prospective LBSA members by managing our Facebook and Instagram. We hope our future Director of Marketing has an eye for design and a passion for posting the best of all LBSA events.
Director of Public Relations
Imagine planning events for all 150 active members! Our Director of Public Relations ensures that all members feel like they are truly a part of the LBSA familia by planning fun bonding events throughout the semester (like the LBSA Retreat, Study Jams, Taco Socials, and more!)
Director of Community Affairs
The leader of our Community Service Pillar! This person is in charge of planning events to give back to the Berkeley community by partnering with existing student organizations or non-profit organizations. Our next Director of Community Affairs should have a big passion to serve our community!
Director of Information Technology
Have an eye for website design? The Director of Information Technology position is for you! Our Director of Information Technology designs and updates the website on a weekly basis to make sure all of our members and sponsors receive the most up-to-date LBSA information. 
Historian
Have a passion for photography? Our LBSA Historian makes sure that all LBSA events are well documented by taking pictures of our members and sponsors. Have you seen our pictures in our social media channels? Those were all taken by our incredible Historian, be the next one!

Criteria To Apply

  • Paid member
  • Participated in 4 sponsored events or attended 90% of your committee meetings and completed committee tasks 
  • Minimum 2.7 GPA
  • Participate in at least 1 community service event
  • No need for committee experience

People running will have 2 minutes to present their speech and will have 2 minutes for questions.

Application Timeline

Sunday, November 17th: Application Opens Online

Tuesday, November 19th - Friday, November 22nd: Coffee Chat Week - Set up time with the current LBSA Director in your desired position to learn more about their role. 
Sunday, December 1st at 11:59PM : Application Deadline

Monday, December 2nd at 10PM: Preliminary decisions announced - Expect to hear back from LBSA Board to know if you were selected to run for Elections.

Wednesday, December 4th from 7PM - 8:30PM at Dwinelle Hall 219: Election Day - All selected candidates will speak in front of LBSA voters to get selected for their position.

       Members - Criteria to vote: 
  1. Must be a paid member: 
    1. Active (more than 4 events attended or be a committee member) = 1pt
    2. Semi-active (3-4 events attended) = 0.6 pt 
    3. Non-active (less than 3 events attended)  = 0.4 pts
  2. Must stay the whole duration of the elections
  3. The Executive Administrator will post a week in advance a list of paid members and how many events members have attended
